This was taken on my first night at camp last year. Always one of the most amazing times of the year - that moment when you roll into camp for the first time of the summer. Everything is so new and fresh and the possibilities of the summer are endless!

26 Days til Take Off!

Today I finally sat down and looked at a calendar. Only 26 days until I am on a plane headed for the states!

As I sit here, my passport at my feet, I start to contemplate all the things I have to look forward to this summer and all the things I have to get ready before I leave.

Packing, organising my cats, buying as much Australian food as I can carry, booking accommodation, messaging my American friends to alert them to my imminent arrival, make a list of things I want to see while travelling - the possibilities are endless!

I can't wait to head off and I am counting down the minutes until camp starts! Come along for the journey and get ready to be let in on the fun that is Camp Agawak!

Brownie here and back for my third year at Camp Agawak, Minocqua WI.

I signed up to go to camp all those years ago because I was looking for adventure, had a passion for working with kids and I wanted to experience the dream of working on an American Summer Camp! And you know what? I loved it so much I kept on going back!

In the "real world" (as opposed to "camp world") I work as a teacher and an Outdoor Ed leader. I love being outside, camping, anything to do with water and getting kids to "go wild" in the great outdoors.

At camp I work as a senior counselor in a cabin of wildly amazing girls. I run activities such as riflry, drama, canoeing, radio and the production. I also go on the camping trips!

I am insanely excited to be heading back and cant wait to get there!
